Your Heart's Values
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 7:2
Have you ever struggled with wanting to know God better
but found that you had a hard time matching up with that desire?
What do you find yourself thinking about
when you are bored at school in some lecture?
Where is it you wish to be when you're at work and the day is tough?
Most likely it's doing your favorite hobby, surfing the internet,
checking out on your facebook, hanging out with a best friend, boyfriend or girlfriend.
Why does your mind gravitate to thinking about that?
It's because that is where you have placed your value.
You have put your time, energy, and desires into those things because that is where your heart is.
If you want to get to know God better, you have to make time and invest yourself in obedience to Him and search for Him through His Word.
Which means to put other things to the side for a time in order
to make a new hunger for God.
That is the price that has to be paid and that is the choice every believer must make.
It's better to waste your time on God rather than your earthly desires.
